Phumelela Air-conditioning was registered in May 2004 and specializes in the sales, service, repairs and installations of all makes of air-conditioning equipment.

Phumelela Air is driven by a young and dynamic Managing Director who identified a gap in the market for female representation and who brings with her a vast amount of knowledge as well as 15+ years of hands on experience in all aspects of air-conditioning.

The Company currently employs six administrative/non-technical and nineteen technical employees. The technical and non/technical employees are trained in Health and Safety with great emphasis to on-site, customer and general public safety.

All technicians have company vehicles that are serviced at regular intervals. All vehicles have a vehicle tracking system that facilitates the monitoring and tracking of the teams. The technicians also have company cell phones so as to ensure they are reachable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we can therefore offer a 24 hour breakdown service.

Scope of Work

Phumelela Air Conditioning supplies and installs all types of residential and commercial air conditioning units, as well as carries out maintenance contracts on new and existing air conditioning units. We are able to do on site assessments/inspections at retails stores/office blocks throughout the country.

Purpose

Phumelela’s purpose is to timeously, effectively and efficiently identify problems relating to the clients Air Conditioning Units and to document such problems with recommendation as to the solution albeit a basic service, a repair or replacement.

To ensure that all clients are well informed as to the work required, period of work, general service and or cost of spares therein (if applicable). The client will be given an official quote covering everything that is required to ensure the running of the AC Unit.

Phumelela will not commence work until the client accepts by official order that the listed work with spares and costs is accepted by the client. The purpose is to alleviate unnecessary pressure on the creditor and debtor departments.

BEE Status

In terms of the Parliamentary decision of 14 December 2006, PHUMELELA AIRCONDITIONING (PTY) LTD is a “Level 4 Contributor”.

Any purchases made from Phumelela Airconditioning are 100% attributable towards clients BEE procurement scorecards.
